Çalışmada kent dokusunun yeniden kullanımında yerel kimlik ve mimarinin dışardan gelen müdahalelerle özgünlüğünden uzaklaştırılması kavramı ele alınmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında, Antakya Zenginler Mahallesini oluşturan konut dokusunun dönüşüm sürecinde somut ve somut olmayan mirasın bütüncül olarak ele alınmaması durumu değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma sürecinde konuyla ilgili literatür taraması yapılmış, mevcut yapılar üzerinden saha çalışması yapılarak fotoğraf ile belgeleme sağlanmış, bölgedeki dönüşüm durumu haritalanmıştır. İlgili kurumlardan kentsel sit alanı, koruma imar planı ve yapıların tescil durumları hakkında bilgi alınmıştır. Çok katmanlı Antakya kent dokusunu oluşturan kültür varlıkları, özellikle sivil mimarlık eserleri, başta çağdaş donatıların eksikliği, değişen aile yapısı ve değişen yaşam şekli ile terk edilmiş ya da niteliksiz müdahalelere maruz kalmıştır. Yapılan alan çalışmasında, değişimin doku içinde homojen bir dağılım göstermediği ve dokudan bağımsız olarak ilerlediği tespit edilmiştir. Bir koruma yöntemi olarak seçilen yeniden işlevlendirme uygulamalarında; sadece somut mirasın değil, somut olmayan kültür mirasının da olumsuz yönde etkilendiği tespit edilmiştir. Tarihi kent ve kentsel alanlarda yapılacak müdahalelerde yapıların tek tek ele alınması yerine, üst ölçekten düşünülmesi gerekmektedir. Farklı disiplinlerden uzmanların (arkeolog, mimar, psikolog, ekonomi uzmanı vb.) ve halkın katılımıyla bölgenin kentte nasıl bir misyon yükleneceğine dair planlar yapılması da önemlidir. Çağdaş yaşamın bütünleyici bir parçası olan tarihi çevreleri oluşturan geleneksel konut dokusunun yeniden değerlendirilmesinde, somut ve somut olmayan değerlerin özgünlüğünün ön planda tutulması, yerli halka yarar sağlaması ve kullanıcının geleneksel dokuyu koruması konusunda bilinçlendirilmesi asıl hedef olmalıdır.
The study discussed the concept of removing local identity and architecture from its originality with external interventions in the reuse of urban texts. In the framework of the study, the state of the housing tissue that forms the Antakya Richers Neighborhood has been assessed in the process of conversion of the material and non-material inheritance is not addressed in general. During the work process, the literary scan on the subject was done, the field work was done through the existing structures, the photo and documentation were provided, the conversion status in the area was maped. The relevant institutions have received information about the urban site area, the protection building plan and the registration status of the buildings. The cultural assets that make up the multi-layer Antakya city tissue, especially civil architectural works, have been abandoned or subjected to unqualified interference, primarily with the lack of contemporary equipment, changing family structure and changing way of life. In the field study, it was found that the change did not show a homogeneous distribution within the tissue and progressed independently of the tissue. In the re-functioning practices chosen as a method of protection, it has been found that not only the concrete heritage, but also the non- concrete cultural heritage is negatively affected. In the historic city and urban areas, interventions should be considered on a higher scale, instead of the structures being addressed individually. Experts from different disciplines (archaeologist, architect, psychologist, economist, etc. It is also important to make plans on what mission the area will be charged in the city with the participation of the people. In the re-evaluation of the traditional housing textures that form historical environments, which are an integrating part of contemporary life, the main objective should be to keep the originality of concrete and non- concrete values in the forefront, to provide the benefit of the indigenous public and to awareness the user of the preservation of the traditional textures.
This study addresses the concept of detachment regarding the local identity and vernacular architecture from its originality by external interventions in the reuse of the old urban fabric. In this study, that the tangible and intangible heritage was not holistically evaluated in the process of transformation of the residential fabric that was in Zenginler District of Antioch. Relevant literature was reviewed. A field study was conducted based on the existing structures, documented using photographs and transformation status in the region was mapped. Cultural values that form the urban fabric of the multi-level Antakya, especially civil architecture work, have been abandoned with the lack of contemporary equipment for many years and changing family structure and lifestyle or have been exposed to unskilled interventions. In the fieldwork, the findings show that the change in the fabric has not shown a homogeneous distribution, and the change proceeded independent from the fabric. The findings also indicate that in the adaptive reuse practices selected as a conversation method in this study, both the tangible heritage and also the intangible cultural heritages have been affected negatively. In the works regarding the conservation of the historical areas, it is important to sustain the original plan layouts, architectural details and integrity of the residents and also purposes of the historical areas that enable the maintenance of the traditional lifestyle when the region is supported in social, cultural and economic aspects.
