Abstract:

Halkla ilişkilere hem özel hem kamu sektöründe ihtiyaç duyulması, halkla ilişkiler eğitiminin de doğrudan üzerinde durulması gerektiğini göstermektedir. Halkla ilişkilerin uygulamalı sosyal bilimler alanı içinde yer alması, eğitimde teorik derslerin yanı sıra uygulamalı çalışmaların gerekliliğini daha fazla artırmaktadır. Halkla ilişkiler eğitiminde son yıllarda bazı üniversitelerde önemli bir yer edinmeye başlayan uygulamalı öğrenci ajansları, öğrencilerin mezun olmadan önce gerçek zamanlı, mesleki süreçleri görmesini sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmayla lisans düzeyinde hem halkla ilişkiler eğitimi alan hem de kendi üniversite kurumlarındaki öğrenci ajanslarında çalışan öğrencilerin bu öğrenci ajanslarına yönelik tutumlarını ve bu ajansların hangi iletişim becerilerine katkı sağladığını tespit etmek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında Türkiye ölçeğindeki devlet ve vakıf üniversitelerinde tespit edilen uygulamalı öğrenci ajanslarında çalışan öğrencilere bir anket uygulanmıştır. Google form uygulaması üzerinden, çalışan öğrencilere, açık olacak şekilde çevrimiçi kaynak aracılığıyla, amaçlı örneklem kullanılması sonucunda toplam 146 öğrenciye ulaşılmıştır. Elde edilen verilere göre uygulamalı ajanslar sayesinde öğrencilerin kampanya süreçlerinin nasıl yürütülebileceğini ve çeşitli problemlerle ne şekilde üstesinden gelinebileceğini daha iyi öğrendiğine ilişkin tutumlar saptanmıştır.

Abstract:

The need for public relations in both the private and public sector shows that public relations education should also be focused directly on. The inclusion of public relations within the field of applied social sciences further increases the need for theoretical courses in education as well as applied studies. Applied student agencies, which have begun to gain an important place in some universities in public relations education in recent years, make it possible for students to see real-time, professional processes before graduating. This study aims to identify the attitudes of students who are both educating in public relations at the bachelor’s level and working in student agencies in their own university institutions towards these student agencies and which agencies contribute to their communication skills. In the framework of the research, a survey was applied to students working in practical student agencies identified in state and foundation universities on the scale of Turkey. Through the Google Form app, a total of 146 students were reached to the working students, through an online resource to be open, as a result of the use of sample for purposes. According to the data obtained, the applied agencies have found attitudes on how students can better learn how campaign processes can be carried out and how to overcome various problems.

The education of public relations has started to play an important role as PR has been needed by both private and public sector. It clearly shows that it needs to be focused on basic PR education. For the public relations education, the necessity of activities in the area of skills application, as well as theoretical courses in the classroom, has increased because the field of public relations is a part of applied social sciences. Student-run public relations agencies, which have recently started to play an important role in some universities, ensure students to get some more experience with the real-time professional environment. The purpose of the study is to identify the attitudes on student-run PR agencies of students, studying at public relations degree at undergraduate level and training in the student-run agencies at their own universities. In addition, it is aimed to find out that these student-run agencies can contribute to what types of communication skills. While dealing the problematic of this research, the survey has been applied to 146 students, on the scale of online networks, with the purposive sampling method on Google forms. In order to collect the data for this study, a questionnaire has been conducted to the students training in student-run agencies at state and foundation universities all over Turkey. With regard to the result of the study, it has been determined that students have learned better how the process of campaign will be managed and how variety problems will be dealt with.
