Amaç: Şiddet günümüzün önemli sorunlarındandır ve hastanelerin acil servis üniteleri şiddete maruz kalma riskinin daha fazla olduğu ortamlardandır. Muğla ilinde gerçekleştirilen bu tanımlayıcı çalışma, kamu hastaneleri acil servislerinde görevli sağlık çalışanlarının şiddete maruz kalma durumlarının incelenmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır.Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma; Muğla il ve ilçe kamu hastaneleri acil servislerinde çalışan toplam 280 sağlık personeli evreni, çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 198 sağlık personeli örneklemi oluşturmuştur. Verilerin toplanmasında, araştırmacılarca literatür doğrultusunda oluşturulmuş 40 soruluk anket formu kullanılmıştır. Veriler bilgisayar ortamında sayı yüzde hesaplamaları ile ki-kare testi kullanılarak değerlendirilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmaya katılanların %69,7’si kadın, %76,8’i hemşire ve %57,6’sı 0-5 yıldır acil serviste çalışmaktadır. Çalışanların %90,4’ü sözel şiddete, %23,2’si fiziksel şiddete maruz kalmıştır. Sözel şiddet olgularının çoğu hasta yakını tarafından gerçekleştirilmiştir. Şiddete maruziyet sonrası çalışanlardaçok öfke ve işten soğuma duyguları saptanmıştır. Fiziksel şiddetin bildirim/raporlama oranı %64 olarak belirlenmiş, şiddete maruz kalanlarda psikolojik destek alma oranları ise çok düşük bulunmuştur. 1-5 yıl süredir acil serviste çalışanlarda şiddete maruz kalma oranları daha yüksek olup şiddete maruz kalanların çoğunda çalıştığı birimi değiştirme isteği belirlenmiştir.Sonuç: Sonuç olarak; çalışanların güvenliğini sağlamaya yönelik tedbirlerin arttırılması, yasal yaptırımların caydırıcılığının sağlanması, ülkemizde daha etkin ve planlı şiddet önleme programlarının uygulanması gerektiği düşünülmektedir
Purpose: Violence is one of the major problems of today, and hospital emergency services are the environments where the risk of violence is higher. This identifying study was carried out in the province of Muğla, with the aim of examining the cases of violence of health workers in public hospitals emergency services.The purpose and method: Study; the total 280 health workers working in public hospitals in the province of Muğla and district have created a sample of 198 health workers who agree to participate in the work. In the collection of data, the researchers used 40 question survey forms created according to literature. The data was evaluated using the ki-core test with the number percentage calculations in the computer environment. Results: 69.7 percent of the survey participants were women, 76.8 percent were nurses and 57.6 percent worked in emergency services for 0-5 years. 90,4% of employees were subjected to oral violence and 23,2% were subjected to physical violence. The majority of oral violence occurred by the patient’s close. After the exposure to violence, the workers have seen a lot of anger and cold feelings from work. The reporting/reporting rate of physical violence was determined at 64%, while the psychological support rates were very low for those who were exposed to violence. For 1-5 years, the rates of violence in the emergency service workers are higher and the desire to change the unit in which the most people who are exposed to violence is determined. Consequently, it is believed that increased measures to ensure the safety of employees, the prevention of legal sanctions, and more effective and planned programmes to prevent violence in our country should be implemented.
