Üniversite Öğrencilerinin Hijyen Davranışlarının Sosyodemografik Açıdan İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Bu çalışma, üniversite öğrencilerinin hijyen davranışlarının sosyo-demografik özellikler açısından incelenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmaya Türkiye’de üniversite eğitimine devam eden farklı sosyo-demografik özelliklere sahip öğrenciler (n=228) katılmıştır. Veriler, araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan çevrim içi anket linki üzerinden basit rastgele örnekleme yöntemiyle araştırmacıların öğrencilerine, öğrenciler aracılığıyla farklı öğrencilere gönderilerek toplanmıştır. Araştırmada, “Sosyo-demografik Bilgi Formu” ile ”Hijyen Envanteri” kullanılmıştır. Araştırma hipotezlerinin testinde İki Grup Arasındaki Farkın Anlamlılık Testi ve Tek Yönlü Varyans Analizi (ANOVA) testleri yapılmıştır. ANOVA sonucunda istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark saptandığı durumlarda ikili karşılaştırmalar için Tukey Testi kullanılmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre; Öğrencilerin “Hijyen Envanteri” puan ortalaması 77,06± 7,19 olarak bulunmuştur. Araştırmaya katılan üniversite öğrencilerinin yaş, kaldığı yer, en uzun yaşadığı yer, Covid-19 salgını yaşama durumu ile Hijyen Envanteri ve Alt Boyut puanları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır (p>0.05). Öğrencilerin kişisel geliri ile Hijyen Envanteri ve Besin hijyeni ile Kişisel Hijyen alt boyutları arasında, öğrencilerin okuduğu sınıf ile Besin hijyeni alt boyutu arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark tespit edilmiştir (p<0.05). Elde edilen bulgular konuyla ilgili sınırlı sayıdaki çalışmalarla tartışılmış ve önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Review of the Hygiene Behavior of University Students from a Sociodemographic Scope

Abstract:

This study aims to study university students’ hygiene behavior in terms of socio-demographic characteristics. Students with different socio-demographic characteristics (n=228) who continue to study university in Turkey participated in the study. The data was collected by sending the researchers to students, through students, through the simple random sampling method through the online survey link prepared by the researchers to different students. In the study, the "social-demographic information form" and "hygienic inventory" were used. The research hypotheses tested the Difference Reliability Test between the Two Groups and the One Direction Variance Analysis (ANOVA) tests. In cases where statistically meaningful differences were found in the ANOVA result, the Tukey Test was used for bilateral comparisons. According to the results obtained from the study; the student's "Hygienic Inventory" score was 77,06±7,19. There was no statistically significant difference between the age, place of stay, place of life, life status of the Covid-19 epidemic and the Hygiene Reserve and the low-dimensional scores (p>0.05). A statistically significant difference between the personal income of students and the hygiene inventory and the nutritional hygiene and the personal hygiene subdimensions has been found between the classroom in which students are studying and the nutritional hygiene subdimensions (p<0.05). The findings obtained were discussed with a limited number of studies on the subject and presented in recommendations.

The data were collected by sending them to the students of the researchers and to different students through the students, using the simple random sampling method via the online survey link prepared by the researchers. “Socio-demographic Information Form” and “Hygiene Inventory” were used to collect research data.Test of Significance Between Two Groups and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) tests were performed to test the research hypotheses. Tukey Test was used for pairwise comparisons when a statistically significant difference was detected as a result of ANOVA. According to the results obtained from the study; The average score of the students' "Hygiene Inventory" was 77.06± 7.19. There was no statistically significant difference between the age, place of residence, place of residence, Covid-19 outbreak, and Hygiene Inventory and Sub-Dimension scores of the university students participating in the research (p>0.05). A statistically significant difference was found between the students' personal income and the Hygiene Inventory and Food hygiene and Personal Hygiene sub-dimensions, and between the students' class and the Food hygiene sub-dimension (p<0.05). The findings were discussed with a limited number of studies on the subject and suggestions were made.
