Müzik öğretmenliği, Eğitim Fakültelerinin kazandırdığı bir mesleki eğitim olmakla birlikte, son yıllarda formasyon eğitimi verilerek Konservatuvarlardan ve Güzel Sanatlar Fakültelerinin Müzik Eğitimi veren Bölümlerinden de müzik öğretmenleri yetiştirilmesine olanak tanınmıştır. Bu durum, genel müzik eğitimi veya okul müzik eğitimciliğinin mesleki yeterlikleri açısından çeşitli sorunlara yol açmakla birlikte, müzik eğitiminin farklı yönlerine yönelik eğitimci yönü geliştirilmiş, eğitimci bakış açısı kazanmış öğretmenlerin yetiştirilmesine de olanak tanımaktadır. Formasyon dönemi boyunca verilen eğitim yoluyla öğretmen adaylarının genel müzik eğitimi vermeleri için gerekli temel becerilerin kazandırılmasına çalışılmaktadır. Öğretmenlik uygulaması dersi ise bu derste edinmiş oldukları temel becerileri uyguladıkları ve öğretmen olmaya hazırlandıkları bir evre olarak büyük önem taşımaktadır. Yapılan araştırma, öğretmen adaylarının öğretmenlik uygulaması dersi kapsamında anlatmış oldukları örnek derslerin değerlendirme formlarının doldurulması yoluyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Söz konusu formlar öğretmen adayları, uygulama öğretmenleri ve uygulama öğretim elemanının doldurdukları formlar olmak üzere üç farklı kaynaktan toplanmıştır. Araştırma, altı lise grubundan toplam 30 öğrenci ve altı müzik öğretmeninden elde edilen veriler ile yürütülmüştür. Veriler, öğretmen adayı konservatuvar öğrencilerinin ve uygulama öğretmenlerinin derslerde yaptıkları gözlemler sırasında doldurdukları gözlem formları yoluyla toplanmıştır. Müzik Öğretmeni adaylarının özellikle öğretim yöntemlerini bilme ve kullanma konusunda yeterli olmadıkları, öğretim teknolojilerini kullanma konusunda ve öğretim araç-gereç ve materyallerini sınıf düzeyine uygun bir biçimde kullanabilme gibi konularda daha iyi yetiştirilmelerinin gerektiği ortaya çıkmıştır. Araştırmanın öğretmenlik uygulaması dersi sürecine katkı sağlaması umulmaktadır.
Although music teaching is a professional training provided by the Faculty of Education, it has been recognised that in recent years it has been given formation training to allow music teachers to be trained from the Conservatories and the Faculty of Fine Arts’s departments that provide music education. Music teaching, in addition to being a vocational education that given by the education faculties, in recent years by giving student's pedagogic formation training, it has been possible to educate music teachers from the Conservatories and the Music Education Departments of the Faculty of Fine Arts. This situation leads to various problems in terms of professional qualifications of general music education or school music education; it also enables the educator to develop different aspects of music education and to educate teachers who have gained an educational point of view. Throughout the training given during the course of special education methods during the formation period, it is tried to be brought the necessary basic skills for general music education to the teacher candidates. Teaching implementation lecture, where they are prepared to become teachers and apply basic skills which they acquired in this lecture, has a great importance as a phase. The research was carried by means of filling the evaluating forms of sample lessons by the teacher candidates within Teaching Implementation Lecture. These forms were collected from three different sources: teacher candidates, implementation teachers and the forms filled by the application instructor. The study was conducted with data from a total of 30 students from six high school groups and six music teachers. It has become clear that the Music Teacher candidates are not competent enough to know and use the teaching methods, and that they should be brought up in the subjects such as using teaching technologies and using materials and equipment in a form appropriate to the class level.
