Abstract:

Social work research aims to improve  social work knowledge and to enhance social work practices. Research based practice makes practices easy to to find solutions to the problems of people. Thanks to researches people needs are defined services can be developed. Within this purpose almost all social work departments of univesities provide social work research education both practically and theoretically. Research education in Hacettepe University FEAS Social Work Department is provided  theorical and  practical for a year. The main purpose of this research is exploring the process which is experienced by the students during the research. According to this main purpose qualitative method was used. The data was gained with structured interview form from students of Hacettepe University Social Work Department and analyzed with MAXQDA 12. The research results were discussed within the themes
