In different Turkish accents and dialects the derivative terms which spring from “tap-” (=find), “jum-” (=conceal, comprhend) and “bil-” (know) are employed. “Jumbak” as a term means riddle in Kazakhstan. The roof of “jumbak” is the verb “yum-”. It means a kind of entertainment by “cuncealing something in hand, closing hand and asking it to be known”. The riddles in verse which are sung by Kazakh minstrel are called “aytıs jumbak”. “Aytıs jumbaks” have the same characteristics with the traditional folk poets in Turkey, and all of them are in verse. The anonimous jumbaks are in verse or in prose. In verse jumbaks, there are meter, rhythem and rhyme. Generally, there are two and four stanzas in these riddles, but there are three, five, six an deven more lines as well. In this article, the poetic structures will be determined of riddles in verse which are202 and compiled from Kazakhstan. For this purpose, offunit, meter, rhythem and rhyme weave the formal elements of riddles such as structure will be investigated. Statistical analysis and application will be implemented for investigation. The reason for this is that doing text oriented general evaluations will not be reliable and therefore statistical means will be used for the beterment of the findings.
