The most important characteristic of the farming sub branch of agriculture a considerably significant sector in terms of economic and social conditions in Turkey is that the risk level about the economic activity is relatively higher when compared to other sectors It is a challenging situation for farmers to make decisions about production in the environment of risk and uncertainty It has been proven in several studies that especially farmers who have decided to produce through old methods should benefit from agricultural decision analysis techniques to guarantee the safety of decision making mechanisms This study aims to show what decisions a farmer takes by using not his own traditional methods but agricultural decision analysis – a method usually referred to in the cases of uncertainty and risk when he plans to plant 10 different crops on a medium ranged terrain in the Adana Region under natural risks Through these techniques the farmer has formed a crop decision matrix which includes 17 dual crop combination out of 10 different crops in parallel with the planting order Thanks to a special index formed by considering this decision matrix and the climactic conditions of the Adana Region the potential average rainfall in the coming years has been calculated from the average rainfall of the Adana Region in the past years It has been observed that the use of decision making techniques under uncertain and risky conditions thanks to this possibility has both helped the farmer realize his her targets in the suitable level and facilitated the decision making process Keywords: Agricultural Decision Analysis Decision Making Techniques
