The shift in the needs and demands of the consumers has changed the triggers of the consumers’ eating out. Recognizing the motives of the consumers’ eating out is of great importance for the organization in terms of the organization’s positioning, identifiying the target market, specifying and diversifying the products and services according to the consumer needs, its profitability, its sustainability and consumer satisfaction. Bearing the importance in mind, this study tries to design ate whether there is a difference between the motives of the consumer eating out and the ranking of these motives and the demographic varients. The data essential for the study were gathered from 410 participants utilizing a questionnaire. The gathered data were analyzed for frequency and descriptive statistics. The findings of the study has posed that the first ten motives for eating out are respectively; the need for being with family, being with friends, being in a different atmosphere, celebrating a special day, socialization, having fun, trying different tastes, celebrating traditional special days, demands of the kids and having no time for cooking and also, demographic variables have a significant effect on these reasons.
