Abstract:

Mothers experience exhaust in the moments when they don’t have anything to give for their disabled children because of their own needs and desires and expenditure of too much energy.  This study was conducted with 12 mothers with disabled children using semi-configured conversation technique in the framework of the quality research model. The aim of this study is to thoroughly examine the causes of the untouched mothers who are isolated in the care of disabled children and ensure that the necessary measures are taken in this regard. Parentality is a period in which stress experiences are frequently experienced due to the daily life difficulties and care responsibilities brought by having a child. With the birth of a disabled child, parents can face unexpected difficulties and needs. With the participation of disabled children in the family system, parents in the early stages can show attitudes such as shock, denial, guilt, disappointment, avoiding the attitude of the outside world, sudden crises, self-confidence and lack of self-esteem. Parents with a disabled child must take into account the fact that they will spend a large part of their time with their children in the stage of organizing their lives that they need special care and attention. At this point, it is known that parents and parents develop different mechanisms of dealing. Mothers often experience emotional transitions such as sadness, sadness, anger and cry because they take the child's primary care within the traditional family roles. In addition to these problems, mothers with disabled children are faced with risks such as disappointment, giving up their plans and dreams, getting into a chronic fatigue feeling.
