Abstract:

Kafkasya kökenli Karaçaylar Türkçe konuşan dünyanın Kıpçak grubuna aitir. Rusya sömürgeciliğinden kurtulmak üzere geniş bir grup yirminci yüzyılın başlarında Anadolu’ya kaçmışlardır“Zalim kaderin sapanları ve okları” sözleriyle ifade edildiği gibi kalanların çilesi de henüz bitmedi. Durum göçmenler için de kolay değildi. Göçmenler Orta Anadolu’ya yerleştirildiler bu da Türk-Rus savaşında yer almak anlamına geliyordu. Hala eski gelenekleri, inançları, halk türkülerini ve oyunlarını bilen köylüler vardır. Hatta kasabalarda dahi Karaçayca konuşanları bulmak mümkündür. Ancak resmi yazısı bulunmayan, okullarda resmi olarak öğretilmeyen diller için asimilasyon kaçınılmazdır. Türkçe çok geçmeden Türkiye’de konuşulanKaraçaycayı absorbe edecektir.
