Abstract:

In this study, Mantz and Ark are aimed at evaluating the social and emotional abilities of students. The "Delaware Social-Emotional Qualification Scale" developed has been adapted to the Turkish language. The study aimed at ensuring the language equality of the scale and testing the factor structure. 338 high school students for scale, detection factor analysis (AFA) were applied to different 220 high school students for verifying factor analysis (DFA). The DFA analysis found that some substances were not meaningful at the .05 level and decided to make AFA. The first and 12th subjects were taken from the scale, taking into account the total substance correlation before AFA. The remaining AFA resulted in a two-dimensional structure. The subdimensions were given the names of "self-consciousness" and "social consciousness" according to literature. The structure obtained from AFA has been tested with different data groups and the factor structure has been determined to be at an acceptable level. The internal consistency ratio for reliability work is calculated as .70. The Pearson Moment Relationship Correlation ratio calculated for the test-up and test reliability study has been determined to be meaningful. The scale is a valid and reliable tool that can be used in the Turkish culture.
