Anahtar Kelimeler: Osmanlı Devleti, Coğrafya Ouml;ğretimi, Satı Bey. nbsp; ABSTRACT İn this research, second constıtutıonal monarchy periodrsquo;s famous educator Mr. Satırsquo;s life, his contribution to education, development of the education of geography in Otoman Empire and his thoughts about teaching of geography are studied. Geography lesson which is participated to offical school timetables nbsp; essentially with Maarif-i Umumiye Nizamnamesi (1869) in Otoman Empire couldnrsquo;t go beyond the stage nbsp; of naming and descriptive geography. Education of modern and explanatory geography took place with second contsıtutıonal monarchy.
