Abstract:

Media and discourse analyzes of the Independent Turkey Party, Democracy and Progress Party, Future Party, Country Party and Victory Party, which are among the political parties established in Turkey, are made. The aim of this study is to determine the level of social media usage of the five opposition parties. This study consists of literature review, examination of the official websites of the parties, discourse analyzes of party leaders and spokespersons, and social media analysis of parties. In the study, a completely original method was used in the media analysis of the parties and different applications such as google search of the parties, youtube, facebook, ınstagram, twitter, linkedIn, flickr, apple application, official websites, spotify were taken as basis. In addition in the study, the social media analysis, projections and situations of the parties are analyzed. As a result of the study, it was determined that the parties came to the fore with a program in the discourse analysis. It is seen that the five parties in question benefit from social media and actively use social media to reach the public and voters.
