Abstract:

Prevention of abuse and abuse is also extremely important in the formation of healthy societies, as it eliminates the violation of the rights of the child. Teachers who spend time with their families in the prevention of the problem of abuse have a key role. The aim of this study is to determine the levels of awareness of the pre-school teachers candidates, the increasing number of children in our country every day, about the problem of abuse and disobedience. In the study used the screening pattern, the 2016-2017 educational year was carried out with 135 teachers candidates who studied in the pre-school education teaching department of Bolu Abant İzzet Baysal University. The data of the study was collected with the application of the "Child Abuse and Intellectual Awareness Scale" consisting of 20 articles to teachers candidates. The analysis of the data found that pre-school teacher candidates had a high level of awareness of child abuse and negligence, and that women teacher candidates had a higher level of awareness of physical abuse compared to male teacher candidates, and that second class candidates had a higher level of awareness compared to other classes.
