Sağlık Bilimleri Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin Romantik İlişkilerindeki Duygusal Kıskançlık Düzeyleri ve Baş Etme Yöntemleri

Bu çalışmada, sağlık bilimleri fakültesinde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin cinsiyetlere göre romantik ilişkilerindeki duygusal kıskançlık düzeyleri ve baş etme yöntemlerinin belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Kesitsel ve tanımlayıcı olan bu çalışma, bir devlet üniversitesinin sağlık bilimleri fakültesinde öğrenim gören, 677 öğrencisi ile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler “Bilgi Formu” ve “Duygusal Kıskançlık Ölçeği-Üniversite Öğrencileri Formu” ile toplanmış, verilerin değerlendirilmesinde ise yüzdelik dağılımlar, ortalamalar, standart sapma, medyan değerleri ve Mann Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin yaş ortalaması 19,64±1,54, %80,9’unun kadın, %62,2’sinin hemşirelik öğrencisi, %43,4’ünün 1. sınıfa gittiği, %53,9’unun şehirde doğduğu saptanmıştır. Kadın öğrencilerin ölçek toplam puan ortalaması 42,42±7,56, erkek öğrencilerin 38,75±8,63 olarak belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilerin baş etme yöntemleri içinden en fazla akılcı tartışma yöntemini tercih ettiği saptanmıştır. Öğrencilerin duygusal kıskançlık seviyesinin yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Öğrencilere duygusal kıskançlıkla baş edebilmelerinde duygu farkındalığı ve duygu yönetimi eğitimlerinin planlanması önerilmiştir

Abstract:

This study aims to determine the levels of emotional jealousy and methods of dealing with students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences according to gender in their romantic relationships. This study, which is cutting and identifying, was conducted with 677 students studying at the Faculty of Health Sciences of a state university. The data was collected with the "Information Form" and "Emotional Jealousy Scale-University Student Form", while the data was evaluated using percentage distribution, average, standard deviation, median values and Mann Whitney U test. The average age of students was 19.64±1,54, 80.9 percent were women, 62.2 percent were nursing students, 43.4 percent went to first class and 53.9 percent were born in the city. The scale total score of women’s students is 42.42±7,56, and the male students are 38.75±8.63. It has been found that students prefer the most reasonable method of discussion from the methods of dealing. The student’s level of emotional jealousy is high. Students are advised to plan emotional awareness and emotional management training in their ability to cope with emotional jealousy

This cross-sectional and descriptive study was carried out with 677 students studying at the health sciences faculty of a state university. The data were collected using the “Information Form” and “Emotional Jealousy Scale-University Students Form”, and percentage distributions, means, standard deviation, median values and Mann Whitney U test were used in the evaluation of the data. The average age of the students was 19.64 ± 1.54, 80.9% were women, 62.2% were nursing students, 43.4% went to the first grade, and 53.9% were born in the city. The scale total score mean of female students was 42.42 ± 7.56, and 38.75 ± 8.63 for male students. It was determined that among the coping methods, students preferred rational discussion method. It has been determined that the students have a high level of emotional jealousy. It was suggested that students plan emotion awareness and emotion management trainings to cope with the feeling of jealousy
