Abstract:

Turkey which is full of environmental, historical and cultural values is affected by the pollution created directly from national inside and other global countries. At this level Special Environmental Protection Area (SEPA) comes out in need of Turkey’s environmental protection and management. The main objective of this study is to examine SEPA of Pamukkale which is one of the special area in Turkey and to elaborate SEPA of Pamukkale Administrative Unit in detail; in addition to these targets authorization conflict between central and local level is investigated. At the study priority is given to the development of environmental protection in Turkey; establishment of EPASA (Environmental Protection Agency for Special Areas), and the deficiencies of organization is discussed at a general framework and the argument is tried to be link with the Pamukkale SEPA at the core level.
