Abstract:

Each work has its own language material. They write this language material and the poets enrich it with their own styles. This is why each study’s language and style characteristics appear differently. This is also the case for historical medical texts. The doctors have shown them with the knowledge and experience they have gained. As many different elements appear in these works, similar characteristics are also seen. The medical works of the Ottoman era come to us as authors and translators. These works are mostly written in the field of pharmacology. It is natural that there are many common points as well. In medical texts written from the 14th to the 19th century, dictionary science, meaning science, phrase knowledge, form knowledge, etc. There is a rich language in terms of things. This wealth has prepared the ground for researchers to be deeply interested in historical medical texts. In this study, how the Ottoman period of medical texts were addressed; the answer to this question was sought. Some of the medical texts of each century have been studied, the outcome that appears has been evaluated under different titles. Examples are listed for each title. All of these works have shown the contribution to the existence of the Turkish.
