Abstract:

COVID-19, which was seen in the Wuhan province of China in December 2019 and named as a pandemic by The World Health Organization affected the World and damaged the country’s economies. Due to the transmission of the epidemic through breathing; prohibitions and measures taken by goverments to reduce their negative effects on human health have led to a negative progress in foreign trade. By creating a glabay supply-demand imbalance, it causeda conraction in production and consumption, imports and exports came to a standstill. As a result of a negativities, the glabal supply chain has benn disrupted. The level of development of the countries does not matter anymore. It remains unclear how long this process will continue. In this study, it is aimed to determine the effect of COVID-19, which started to show its effect by emerging in Turkey inMarch 2020, on Turkey’s foreign trade volume (2018-2021) and to give suggestions for the future.
