TOPRAK ÖRNEKLERİNDE DOĞAL RADYOAKTİVİTE (226Ra, 232Th VE 40K) VE RADYASYON TEHLİKELERİNİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Abstract :

Bu çalışmada Türkiye’de Edirne ve Kırklareli arasından toplanan toprak örneklerinde 226Ra, 232Th ve 40K aktivite konsantrasyonları HPGe gama spektrometre sistemi kullanılarak ölçülmüştür. Çalışma alanında 226Ra, 232Th ve 40K radyonüklid konsantrasyonları sırası ile 10.5±1.0 ile 33.3±2.7, 17.4±0.7 ile 56.0±1.9 ve 102.1±14.5 ile 1126.9±15.8 Bq kg-1 arasında değişmektedir. Bu doğal radyonüklidlerin aktivite konsantrasyonları diğer çalışmalarda elde edilen sonuçlar ile karşılaştırılmıştır. Ayrıca havada soğurulan gama doz oranı, yıllık etkin doz oranı ve radyum eşdeğer aktivitesi de (Raeq) insanlar için radyasyon tehlikesini belirlemek amacıyla değerlendirilmiştir.

Abstract :

In this study in Turkey, 226Ra, 232Th and 40K activity concentrations in land samples collected between Edirne and Kırklareli were measured using the HPGe gamma spectrometer system. In the work area, the concentrations of 226Ra, 232Th and 40K radiocyclides range from 10.5±1.0 to 33.3±2.7, 17.4±0.7 to 56.0±1.9 and 102.1±14.5 to 1126.9±15.8 Bq kg-1 respectively. The activity concentrations of these natural radiocyclids are compared with the results obtained in other studies. The gamma dose rate, the annual active dose rate and the radioactive equivalent activity (Raeq) were also evaluated to determine the risk of radiation for humans.
