Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı Ankara’daki antrenörlerin COVID-19 salgınına yönelik algı ve tutumlarının bazı demografik değişkenlere göre incelemektir. Yöntem: Veriler, tarama araştırma modelinde kartopu örnekleme yöntemiyle çevrimiçi ankete katılım gösteren 151 antrenörden elde edilmiştir. Anket, sosyo-demografik bilgi formu, COVID-19 hastalık algısı, hastalığın nedenleri, hastalığın kontrolü, hastalıktan kaçınma tutumları ve son olarak COVID-19 aşısına yönelik tutumlar ölçeği olmak üzere altı bölümden oluşmaktadır. Verilerin analizinde bağımsız örneklem t-testi, tek yönlü ANOVA ve Tamhane’s T2 Post-Hoc testleri kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Çocuk sahibi olan antrenörlerin, hastalıktan kaçınma tutumları bilişsel alt boyutunda fark bulunurken, kronik rahatsızlığı olanların hastalık algısı bulaşıcılık alt boyutunda, hastalığın nedenleri algısı inanç alt boyutunda, hastalığın kontrolü algısında makro kontrol alt boyutunda ve aşı tutumları ölçeğinin olumsuz tutum alt boyutunda anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. COVID-19 geçiren antrenörlerin hastalık algısı tehlikelilik alt boyutunda, nedenleri algısının inanç alt boyutunda ve hastalığın kontrolü algısının kontrol edilebilirlik alt boyutunda anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Akrabası COVID-19 geçiren antrenörlerin hastalığın nedenleri algısının inanç alt boyutunda anlamlı farka rastlamıştır. Ayrıca eğitim durumlarına göre COVID-19’un nedenleri algısının çevre ve inanç alt boyutunda anlamlı fark bulunmuştur. Sonuç: Geniş sosyal gruplarla etkileşimde olan antrenörlerin COVID-19 pandemisine yönelik algı ve tutumlarının bilinmesi olası yeni pandemilere yönelik olumsuz kaygı ve davranışları azaltacak tedbirlerin alınmasına yardımcı olacağı düşünülmektedir.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the perceptions and attitudes of trainers towards the COVID-19 pandemic according to some demographic variables. Method: Data were gathered from 151 trainers with an online questionnaire distributed by snowball sampling method. The questionnaire has sociodemographic information form, and perception and attitude scales related with COVID-19 pandemic. Independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA and Tukey post-hoc tests were used for the analysis. Findings: Significant difference was found for the cognitive sub-dimension of avoidance attitudes scale of the trainers’ who have children. Significant differences were found in the contagiousness sub-dimension of the perception of illness scale, faith sub-dimension of the perception of causes scale, the macro control sub-dimension of the perception of control scale and negative attitude sub dimension of attitudes towards the COVID-19 vaccine scale. Significant differences were found in the dangerousness sub-dimension of the perception of illness, faith sub-dimension of the perception of causes, and controllability sub-dimension of the perception of control of the trainers who had COVID-19. A significant difference was found in the faith sub-dimension of the perception of causes by the trainers whose relatives had COVID-19. In addition, significant differences were found in the environment and faith sub-dimensions of the perception of causes according to educational status variable. Conclusions: Knowing the perception and attitudes of the coaches interacting with wide social groups regarding the COVID-19 pandemic will help to take measures to reduce negative worries and behaviors for possible new pandemics.
