ÖN DÜZENLEYİCİLER VE 9. SINIF KİMYA DERS KİTAPLARINDA KULLANIMLARININ İNCELENMESİ

Abstract :

Ön düzenleyiciler, öğrenilecek materyalden önce sunulan ve öğrenenin yeni bilgiyi yorumlama ve organize etmesine yardım eden araçlardır. Bu çalışmada ilk olarak, ön düzenleyicilerin sınıflandırılmasına yönelik bir kavram haritası geliştirilmiştir. Daha sonra hazırlanan kavram haritasının dikkate alınmasıyla, 2007 yılı 9. sınıf kimya dersi öğretim programı doğrultusunda MEB tarafından hazırlanan 9. sınıf kimya ders kitabı ile 1996 yılı programı doğrultusunda MEB tarafından hazırlanan 9. sınıf kimya ders kitabı ön düzenleyici kullanılma durumlarına göre ayrı ayrı analiz edilerek, bulgular karşılaştırılmıştır. Çalışma sonunda, 1996 yılı programı doğrultusunda hazırlanan 9. sınıf kimya ders kitabında sadece sergileyici ön düzenleyiciler yer alırken, 2007 yılı programı doğrultusunda hazırlanan 9. sınıf kimya ders kitabında hem sergileyici hem de karşılaştırmalı ön düzenleyicilerin yer aldığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca, yeni ders kitaplarında ön düzenleyici sayısında artma olduğu belirlenmiştir. Son kısımda, kimya derslerinde ön düzenleyicilerin kullanılması ile ilgili önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

Advance Organizers and Examining of their Usage in 9 th Grade Chemistry Textbooks

Abstract :

An advance organizer is the tool that is presented prior to the material to be learned, and that helps learners to organize and interpret new incoming information. In this study, a concept map concerning the classification of advance organizer was developed. Then, 9thgrade chemistry textbooks written according to both current year 2007 and past year 1996 high school chemistry curriculum were examined by taking into account the concept map prepared. Next, the findings of each textbook analysis were compared. In consequence, while there is only expository advance organizer in the 9th grade chemistry textbooks written according to current curriculum, there exist both expository and comparative advance organizer in the 9th grade chemistry textbooks written according to year 1996 high school chemistry curriculum. It was also determined that the number of advance organizer was increased in current chemistry textbooks. The implications of the findings are discussed and some recommendations for incorporating advance organizers in chemistry classes were noted
