Abstract:

The first text written with the Kuman dialect of the Turkish Kıpçak XIII-XIV. In the centuries, it was performed by Italian and German Franciscan priests located among the Kupchak (Kuman) Turks living in the lower Idil basin. In the north of the Black Sea, Codex Cumanicus, which is thought to be written by Geneva or Venetian merchants, Franciscan missionaries or Italian monks and German religious men, is one of the exceptional works that we can find important data about the public literature of the daily and religious lives of the Kuman/Kupaches with the rich word we have. The existence of the word in the work contains important clues about the period Turkish and its social life. Codex Cumanicus’s word existence, trade goods, religious terms of Christianity, animals, plants, goods, law, measurement, calendar, facts, etc. It belongs to various areas. Although it is recognized that the work is written for missionary purposes, it is remarkable that it contains words that cover all areas of everyday life, except for the religious existence. The existence of the work enables them to learn about the geography, the climate, the plant cover, the animals they raise or hunt, the commercial products, the occupations, the social lives, the herbs and the herbs. The work of the word existence is of great importance in terms of periodically showing the journey the Turkish follows. This study focuses on the state of human characteristics used in Codex Cumanicus in today’s Anadolu mouths. This study, aimed at determining how and how the word existence of the Kuman-Kıpçak period in today’s Anadolu mouths lives, will provide a significant contribution to our culture world in terms of seeing the course of periodic uses of the Turkish word existence in the mouths.
