Bu çalışma, üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıf İngilizce öğretmenliği ile dördüncü sınıf Türkçe öğretmenliği bölümlerinde öğrenimlerini sürdüren öğretmen adaylarının yaratıcı drama yöntemini kullanmaya yönelik öz-yeterliklerini belirlemeyi ve çeşitli değişkenlere göre değerlendirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmanın örneklemi, 2012-2013 akademik yılında bir üniversitede öğrenim gören 218 öğretmen adayından oluşmaktadır. Araştırmada, üçüncü ve dördüncü sınıflarda öğrenim gören öğretmen adaylarının yaratıcı drama yöntemini kullanmaya yönelik öz yeterliklerini belirlemek amacıyla Yaratıcı Drama Yöntemini Kullanmaya Yönelik öz-yeterlik ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada öğrencilerin yaratıcı drama yöntemini kullanmaya yönelik öz-yeterlik seviyeleri cinsiyet, sınıf seviyelerine ve bölüm değişkenlerine göre incelenmiştir. Araştırma bulgularına göre öğretmen adaylarının, yaratıcı drama yöntemini kullanmaya yönelik yeterli düzeyde öz-yeterliğe sahip oldukları, yaratıcı drama yöntemini kullanmaya hazır oldukları; öğretmen adayları arasında cinsiyete, sınıfa ve bölüme göre farklılık olmadığı bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Bütün bu sonuçların ışığında üniversitelerde verilen yaratıcı drama dersinin öğrencilere katkısının olumlu düzeyde olduğu söylenebilir.
This study aims to determine and evaluate the self-capacity of teachers candidates who continue their studies in third and fourth-class English teaching and fourth-class Turkish teaching departments to use the creative drama method and according to the various variables. The sample of the study consists of 218 teachers candidates who studied at an university in the 2012-2013 academic year. In the study, the self-capacity scale used to use the Creative Drama Method to determine the self-capacity of the teaching candidates studying in third and fourth classes to use the creative drama method. The study examined the levels of self-capacity for students to use the creative drama method based on gender, class levels and section variables. The research finds that the teaching candidates have sufficient self-capacity to use the creative drama method, are ready to use the creative drama method; that there is no difference between the teaching candidates according to gender, class and division. In light of all these findings, it can be said that the creative drama course given at universities has a positive level of contribution to students.
