Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to examine the religious attitude and human value levels of Turkish citizen high school students studying in Turkish Schools operating abroad under the Ministry of National Education in terms of various variables. The sample of this search consists of 927 high school students studying in Turkish schools in Vienna, Brussels, Kuwait, Batumi, Bishkek, Baku, Medina, Jeddah and Riyadh. The sample of the study was determined by the method of "simple random sampling". The data were collected through "personal information form" prepared by the researcher, “religious attitude scale” developed by Ok, and "human values scale" developed by Dilmaç. The surveys were conducted in the second semester of the 2018-2019 academic year. In the study, first of all, the distribution of the sample group was examined according to the demographic characteristics and information specified in the "personal information form”. In the next step, personal ınformation and the results obtained by analyzing the scores obtained by the students from the "religious attitude scale" and the "human values scale" were analyzed. As a result of this research, the level of religious attitude of the samples significantly differentiated by according to; the regions where students live, the type of school, the religiousness of the parents, the source where the students receive religious education; On the other hand human value levels of the samples significantly differentiated by according to; the regions where students live, the type of school, the religiousness of the parents, the source where the students receive religious education. The relationship between religious attitudes and human values of high school students studying at Turkish schools abroad was analyzed with regression analysis, and it has been determined that religious attitude was a significant predictor of human values.
