Abstract:

Purpose - In this study, Metal Items, which are traded at the Borsa Istanbul (BIST), aimed at analyzing the financial performance of 28 in the Machine Index and comparing the results. A hybrid model has been implemented with the help of the DEMATEL (The Decision Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory) and MOORA (Multi-Objective Optimization on the basis of Ratio Analysis) methods for the analysis of the performance of the relevant companies. Results - Thirteen selection criteria consisting of the liquidity, activity efficiency, financial structure and profitability rates of the three-year period covering the years 2016-2018 of the Enterprises in the Index have been determined and the survey has been addressed to the selected experts within the scale of 1 - 4 scale. Considering the results obtained, the weight values of the selection criteria are calculated in terms of the DEMATEL method. The performance of the enterprises within the application is assessed by the MOORA method and the companies are ranked according to the performance values of each year. In the study, the company’s performance, using the Borda method, has been rearranged according to all years. Debate - The assessment of the performance of is important to see both themselves and their competitors in the industry. In recent years, various studies on the basis of the sectors or indicators to which the companies operating in Istanbul, both these companies and stakeholders who are interested in these enterprises, provide valuable information and comments. The periods selected in the study, the accounting rates used and the hybrid model according to the performance analysis of 28 in the Machine Index, the average of 3 years is EMINİŞ Packaging Industry and Trade A.S.
