Özet:

Abstract The article presents, in general lines, the main guidelines that guided the work of a new translation of Petits poèmes en prose, by Baudelaire, carried out by me in partnership with Isadora Petry. I try to show, first, how the French poet’s prose poetry project took a long transition time to be understood even by specialist critics, which explains, in large part, the poetic character of the first Brazilian translations. On the other hand, the radicalization of prosaism also seems not to be able to deal with the challenge of translating these “laborious trifles”, conceived by Baudelaire as an essentially ambivalent poetical experience. Always in dialogue with Literary Criticism, our translation sought to meet this challenge of ambivalence, from which this article addresses two aspects: the encounter of prose with poetry and the ironic and meaningful appropriation of the commonplace. Author Biography Eduardo Horta Nassif Veras, Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro, Uberaba, Minas Gerais Possui graduação em Letras (português-francês), mestrado em Literatura Brasileira (2009) e doutorado em Literatura Comparada (2013) pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG). Cursou estágios de doutorado CAPES-PDEE (2010-2011) e pós-doutorado FAPESP-BEPE (2015) no "Centre de Recherche sur la Littérature Française du XIXe Siècle", da Université Paris-Sorbonne (Paris IV), sob a supervisão do professor Dr. André Guyaux. Realizou pesquisa e estágio de pós-doutorado em Teoria Literária junto ao Instituto de Estudos da Linguagem (IEL) da Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) com supervisão do professor Dr. Marcos Siscar e apoio da FAPESP (2014-2017). Atualmente é professor adjunto (DE) da Universidade Federal do Triângulo Mineiro (UFTM), localizada em Uberaba-MG.
