Okul yöneticilerinin okul yöneticiliğini tercih etme nedenleri oldukça önemlidir. Okul yöneticilerinin öğretmenlere sunduğu liderlik tarzının öğretmenlerin başarısına, etkililiğine, iklimine, kültürüne, mesleki doyumuna, motivasyonuna ve performansına olumlu katkı sağladığına inanılmaktadır. Bu nedenle yöneticiliğin tercih edilmesinde rol alan kişisel ve sosyal faktörlerin önemli olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu kapsamda bu çalışmada okul yöneticiliğinin tercih edilme nedenlerine ilişkin nitel bir çalışma yapılmıştır. Araştırma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışmasıdır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubu, gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak seçilen, 2022-2023 eğitim döneminde MEB okullarında görev yapmakta olan kolay ulaşılabilir durum örneklemesi ile gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak seçilmiş 12 okul yöneticisi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada uzman kişiler ile beraber hazırlanan yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgulara göre: kişisel nedenleri olarak yönetici olma ideali ile ilgili düşünceler, kişisel ve mesleki deneyim ve okula fark yaratma ve sosyal tercih nedenleri olarak eğitim öğretime katkı sunmak ve insanlara yardımcı olmak şeklinde sıralanmıştır.
The reasons why school managers prefer school managers are very important. It is believed that the leadership style offered by school managers to teachers contributes positively to the success, effectiveness, climate, culture, professional satisfaction, motivation and performance of teachers. Therefore, personal and social factors that play a role in the choice of management are considered important. In this context, a qualitative study was conducted on the reasons for the preference of the school management. The research is the study of the methods. The study’s work group consists of 12 school managers selected on the basis of the voluntary essence, with an easy-to-accessful status sample to work in the MEB schools during the 2022-2023 educational period. In the study, a semi-configured interview form was prepared with specialists. According to the findings obtained from the research: ideas related to the ideal of being a manager as personal reasons, personal and professional experience and the form of contributing to education and helping people as differentiating and social preference reasons for school.
