Sosyal medya bağımlılığı ve algılanan sosyal destek kavramları son yıllarda farklı araştırmalara konu olmuştur. Alan yazında birçok farklı değişkenle ilişkisi incelenen bu kavramların birlikte bir çalışma konusu olmadığı görülmüştür. Bu kapsamda bu araştırmada İstanbul’da bulunan bazı üniversitelerde öğrenim gören öğrencilerin sosyal medya kullanım ve bağımlılık düzeyi ile algılanan sosyal destek düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkiyi ölçmek amaçlanmıştır. İlişkisel tarama modelindeki araştırmanın verileri “Sosyal Medya Bağımlılık Ölçeği: Yetişkin Formu” ve “Çok Yönlü Algılanan Sosyal Destek Ölçeği” ile İstanbul’da farklı üniversitelerde öğrenim gören 410 öğrenciden toplanmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde SPSS 22.0 programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre medeni durumun aile ve arkadaş hariç değer verilen özel bir kişiden alınan destek ile, sosyal medya kullanım amacı ve kullanılan sosyal medya platformu sayısının ise algılanan sosyal destek ve sosyal medya bağımlılığı düzeyleri ile ilişkili olduğu, sosyal medya kullanım süresinin artması ile sosyal medya bağımlılığının arttığı ve sosyal medya bağımlılığı ve algılanan sosyal destek düzeylerinin fakülte ve bölüm bazında değişiklik gösterdiği anlaşılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, algılanan sosyal destek düzeyi ve alt boyutlarının sosyal medya bağımlılığını negatif yönde etkilediği görülmüştür.
Social media addiction and perceptible social support concepts have been the subject of various research in recent years. In the summer, it was found that these concepts studied the relationship with many different variables were not a common subject of study. In this context, this study aims to measure the relationship between the level of social media use and addiction of students studying at some universities in Istanbul and the level of social support perceived. The data of the research in the relational scan model was collected from 410 students studying at different universities in Istanbul with "Social Media Addiction Scale: Adult Form" and "Multi-directional Detected Social Support Scale". The SPSS 22.0 program is used for the processing of data. According to the research findings, the civic state is clear that the support received from a private person except family and friends, the purpose of social media use and the number of social media platforms used are related to the levels of social support and social media addiction perceived, the increased time of social media use and the increased social media addiction and the social media addiction and the levels of social support perceived are related to the faculty and department basis. As a result, the level of social support and its subdimensions found to have a negative impact on social media addiction.
Social media addiction and the perceived social support terms have been mentioned in different researches in recent years. It was seen that the terms whose relationship with different variables was analyzed in the literature are not a study subject together. Within this scope, it was aimed to measure the relation of using social media and the addiction level of students who study at some universities in İstanbul to the perceived level of social support in this research. Data of the research in the relational screening model was collected from 410 students who study at universities in Istanbul with “social media addiction scale: Adult Form’’ and ‘’Multi-faceted Perceived Social Support Scale’’. SPSS 22.0 program was used in analyzing data. According to the research findings, the marital status is related to the support received from a private person valued excluding family and friends, the purpose of social media use and the number of social media platforms used is perceived levels of social support and social media addiction, social media addiction increases with the increase in social media usage time and social media addiction and perceived social support levels differed on the basis of faculty and department. The results have shown that the perceived level of social support and sub-dimensions of it affect social media addiction negatively.
