Bu çalışma üniversite öğrencilerinin akademik motivasyon, boş zaman yönetimi ve karar vermeyi erteleme eğilimleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesini amaçlamıştır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda çalışmanın örneklemi İstanbul İl sınırları içerisindeki üniversitelerde eğitim gören 549 öğrenciden oluşmuştur. Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden betimsel ve nedensel-karşılaştırma yöntemi ile yapılan bu çalışmada veri toplama aracı olarak “Demografik Bilgi Formu”, “Akademik Motivasyon Ölçeği”, “Boş Zaman Yönetimi Ölçeği” ve “Karar Vermeyi Erteleme Eğilimi Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde ise SPSS Statistics 23.0 programı ile Frekans ve Faktör Analizi, Korelasyon ve Regresyon Analizleri ve Düzenleyici (Moderatör) Değişken Analizleri yapılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda içsel motivasyon ile dışsal motivasyon, amaç belirleme ve yöntem, değerlendirme, programlama arasındaki ilişki istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve pozitif bulunmuştur. Dışsal motivasyon ile programlama arasında ise anlamlı ve negatif bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca çoklu regresyon analizi sonucunda akademik motivasyonsuzluk ve boş zamanı değerlendirme değişkenlerinin birlikte boş zamanı değerlendirme üzerinde pozitif etkileri olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Düzenleyici değişken analiz sonucunda ise boş zamanı değerlendirme üzerinde akademik motivasyonsuzluk ile sosyoekonomik statü (SES) etkileşiminin etkisi olduğu görülmüştür.
This study aims to study the relationship between academic motivation, leisure management and decision-making delaying tendencies of university students. According to this purpose, the examples of the study consisted of 549 students studying at universities within the border of Istanbul. This study, conducted by the visual and causal-comparation method of the Nicel research methods, used the “Demographic Information Form”, “Academic Motivation Scale”, “Free Time Management Scale” and “Decision Delaying Trend Scale” as a data collection tool. The SPSS Statistics 23.0 program is based on Frequency and Factor Analysis, Correlation and Regression Analysis and Moderators Variable Analysis. The study found the relationship between internal motivation and external motivation, targeting and method, evaluation, programming statistically meaningful and positive. It has been found that there is a meaningful and negative relationship between external motivation and programming. The multiple regression analysis also found that academic motivation and free-time evaluation variables have a positive impact on free-time evaluation together. The results of the regulatory variable analysis have shown that the interaction between academic motivation and socio-economic status (SES) has an impact on the free time assessment.
