The new Labour Law 4857 introduces some new measures to protect employee wages. In this article, the measures against non – payment of employee wages and the protection provided by them are analyzed. The topics that are reviewed in this respect are the employees’ right to demand unpaid wages with the highest interest rate applicable to the bank deposits, the right to refrain from the obligation to work, the right to terminate a labour contract, and the wage guarantee fund. By analyzing those topics, the problems that appear during the application of those rules are addressed along with some proposals to solve these problems
