Abstract:

Bu araştırmanın amacı, Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının aktif vatandaşlık öz yeterliliklerinin ne düzeyde olduğunu tespit etmektir. Bu doğrultuda cinsiyet, öğrenim görmekte olduğu üniversite, sivil toplum kuruluşlarına üyelik durumu ve siyasi gündemi takip etme durumu değişkenlerine göre incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinin bir çeşidi olan anlık tarama modeli ile araştırma gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın evrenini 2019-2020 Eğitim-Öğretim yılı Ege bölgesindeki devlet üniversitelerinde Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmenliği programında öğrenim gören öğretmen adayları oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmaya Ege bölgesinde yer alan 9 devlet üniversitesinde öğrenim gören 749 Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adayı katılım sağlamıştır. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak aktif yurttaşlık öz yeterlilik ölçeği ve kişisel bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada genel itibariyle Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının aktif vatandaşlık öz yeterlilikleri yüksek düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgulara göre adayların cinsiyet, sivil toplum kuruluşlarına üyelik durumu, siyasi gündemi takip etme durumu değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği; öğrenim görmekte olduğu üniversite değişkenine göre ise anlamlı düzeyde farklılaşmadığı belirlenmiştir.

Social Information Study of Active Citizenship Self-Qualifications of Teacher Candidates (Ege Area Example)

Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to determine the level of active citizenship self-qualifications of social information teachers candidates. In this direction, gender, the university in which it is studying, the state of membership in the civil society organizations and the state of follow-up to the political agenda are intended to be studied according to the variables. The research was carried out with an instant scan model, which is a variety of research methods. The universe of research 2019-2020 Education-Teaching Year is formed by teachers candidates studying in the Social Information Teaching Program in the state universities in the Egean region. The study included 749 Social Information teachers candidates who studied at 9 state universities located in the Egean region. In the research, the active citizenship self-qualification scale and personal information forms have been used as a data collection tool. The study has found that in general, social information teachers candidates active citizenship self-qualifications are high. According to the findings obtained, the candidates have shown significant differences in terms of gender, membership status in civil society organizations, political agenda follow-up status; according to the university variable in which they are studying, they have not shown significant differences in terms of levels.

In this research, it is aimed to determine the level of active citizenship self-efficacy of Social Studies teacher candidates and to examine them according to the variables of gender, the university they are studying, their membership to non-governmental organizations, and their status of following the political agenda. The research was carried out with the instant scanning model, which is a type of quantitative research methods. The universe of the study is the teacher candidates studying in the Social Studies teaching program at state universities in the Ege region in the 2019-2020 academic year. 749 Social Studies teacher candidates studying at nine state universities in the Ege region participated in the study. Active citizenship self-efficacy scale and personal information form were used as data collection tools in the research. In the study, active citizenship and self-efficacy of the Social Studies teacher candidates were analyzed by means of the data acquired from the variables of gender, membership in non-governmental organizations, and following the agenda.
