Okul Öncesi Eğitim Kurumlarında Din Eğitimi: Erken Dönem Din Eğitimine İlişkin Ebeveyin Görüşleri

Okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarının ilk basamağı olan anaokulu, yaşamın en önemli kademelerinden biridir ve çocukların ebeveyn haricinde bir başka eğitmen ile karşılaştıkları ilk dönemdir. Bu evre çocuklar açısından olduğu kadar, ebeveynler açısından da önemlidir. Çünkü bu döneme kadar çocukların bakımı, alışkanlıkları, dini, ahlakı ve eğitimi üzerinde tamamen hakim olan ebeveynler, bu aşamayla birlikte hakimiyetlerini çocuğun öğretmenleri, arkadaşları ve çevresi ile paylaşmak zorunda kalırlar. Anaokulu döneminden itibaren artık eğitimin bir paydaşı haline gelen ve çocuğun her açıdan iyi yetişmesini isteyen ebeveynler kendi milli ve dini değerleri ile örtüşen bir eğitimin çocuklarına verilmesini önemserler. Bu bakımdan ebeveynlerin mevcut eğitim ve öğretime dair görüşlerinin ortaya konması, eğitimin diğer paydaşları olan öğretmen, öğrenci, müfredat vb. unsurları arasında senkronize bir şekilde yürütülmesi açısından önemlidir. Bu bağlamda ebeveynlerin okul öncesi ve anaokulunda din eğitimine ilişkin görüşlerinin irdelendiği bu çalışma, 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılı ikinci dönemi içerisinde Siirt il merkezindeki resmi anaokullarına çocuklarını gönderen ebeveynler ile yapılmıştır. Bu çerçevede okul öncesi eğitim kurumlarında okul öncesi din eğitimi verilmesi yönündeki ebeveyn görüşleri ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucu elde edilen bulgulara göre okul öncesi din eğitimi verilmesi yönünde ebeveynlerden koşulsuz destek verenlerinin yanı sıra pozitif yaklaşım sergileyen ancak bunun için çeşitli koşullar öne süren ebeveynlerin olduğu görülmüştür. Bunun yansıra bazı ebeveynler ise okul öncesi dönemde din eğitiminin verilmesini desteklemiş; ancak bu eğitimin ailelerce verilmesi gerektiğini belirtmişlerdir. Diğer taraftan okul öncesi dönemde din eğitiminin verilmesini uygun bulmayan ebeveynlerin, uygun bulmama gerekçeleri ortaya konmuştur.

Childhood, the first stage of pre-school education institutions, is one of the most important stages of life and is the first time children encounter another teacher except their parents. This stage is important as for the children as for the parents. For parents, who have fully dominated the care, habits, religion, morality and education of children until this time, are forced to share their domination with the child’s teachers, friends and surroundings. Parents who have become a part of education since their childhood and who want the child to grow well in all respects are concerned about giving their children an education that fits their national and religious values. In this regard, the expression of the parents' views on current education and teaching, the other stakeholders of education, the teacher, the student, the curriculum, etc. It is important to perform synchronically between the elements. In this context, this study, in which the parents’ opinions on religious education in the pre-school and kindergarten are discussed, was done with parents who sent their children to the official kindergarten in the Siirt province center during the second period of the 2018-2019 educational year. In this context, the parents’ opinions on the provision of pre-school religious education in pre-school educational institutions were tried to be revealed. According to the findings obtained by the research, it has been found that parents have unconditional support in the direction of pre-school religious education, as well as parents who have a positive approach but have different conditions to do so. This reflects that some parents have supported the provision of religious education in the pre-school period, but they have stated that this education should be given by families. Parents who do not find the right to provide religious education in the pre-school period, on the other hand, have found reasons to find it appropriate.

Kindergarten is one of the most important steps of life and this period is the first time children meet another instructor other than parents. This stage is important for parents as well as children. Because until this period, parents who have completely mastered the care, habits, religion, morality and education of children are forced to share their dominance with the child's teachers, friends and surroundings. Parents care about giving education to their children, which coincides with their national and religious values who have become a stakeholder of education and want the child to grow up well in all respects with kindergarten period. In this regard, it is important to determine the views of parents on current education and training, in order to carry out synchronously among the other stakeholders of the education, teachers, students, and curriculum etc.elements. This study, which examines parents's views on religious education in preschool and kindergarten, was conducted with parents who sent their children to their official kindergartens in Siirt city center during the second semester of the 2018-2019 academic year. In this context, it was tried to put forward the opinions of parents about the provision of religious education in kindergartens, which is the first step of preschool education institutions. According to the findings of the study, some parents were found to have unconditional support for religious education, but also had some parents taking positive approaches and suggesting a variety of conditions in the kindergartens. In addition, some parents supported the provision of religious education in preschool period, but stated that this education should be provided by families. On the other hand, the reasons of the parents who do not find it appropriate to give religious education in preschool period and kindergarten are presented.
