Destan, mesnevi gibi edebî eserlerde olayların bir başkahramanı vardır. Klasik eserlerde dönemin tarzının da etkisiyle kahramanlar belirli kalıp içerisine sokulur. Konu bu kahraman üzerinden anlatılmaktadır. Genelde bu tarz kahramanlar belirli bir tip kalıbına göre anlatılır. Bu tip bazen “veli”, “alp” tipi olurken bazen de “âşık”, “sufi” tipi olabilir. Bu tip özelliği taşıyan kahramanlar sabit ve basit karakterli kişilerdir. Toplum değerlerini temsil eden bu tipler başka bir eserde de karşımıza çıkmakta ve aynı özellikleri taşımaktadır. Bu bağlamdan yola çıkarak çalışmada Nizâmî Gencevî’nin Leyla ile Mecnun” adlı eserinde “âşık tipi ele alınacaktır. Eserin temel konusu olan aşk teması göz önünde bulundurularak âşık tipi özellikleri örnekler aracılığıyla yansıtılacaktır.
Almost every literary work including epic and masnavi has a hero though whom the subject is conveyed. In classical works the hero is put into a certain pattern with the influence of the style of the period. In this respect, heroes are generally told according to a certain type of pattern which can sometimes be a “veli”, “alp” types, as well as “âşık”and “sufi” types. Heroes with these types of character are simple and flat. In his sense, these types, which represent social values, may appear in another work in the same fashion and have the same features. Based on this context, "âşık type" has been discussed in Nizami Ganjavi's book Laili and Majnun. Considering the theme of love, which is the main subject of the work, the type of lovers has been reflected through examples.
