Abstract:

In Turkey, from 2006 the internal control system and practices that entered the public administration have taken significant distances, a serious accumulation of knowledge in the public administration has been formed. The Association of Public Internal Auditors (KIDER), established in 2007 as a professional organization of public internal auditors, has strived to be with its colleagues from the first day to support the professional development of internal auditors as well as to come to a position that will add value to public administration by the proper design of the internal audit/audit system in our country. Since July 2018, with the transition of the Presidency to the Government System, some changes in both administrative structures and control mechanisms have occurred, a new period has entered. In this article, the general situation and point of the public internal audit system in Turkey, which has been enabled for 15 years, is assessed by KIDER, the prospects and goals for the future are discussed.
