The story of Mevlüt Süleymanlı, one of the major writers of the 1960 Generation in Azerbaijan Literature, and the life of the people of Değirmen and Azerbaijan has been evaluated with a new perspective. In the work, the characters are studied with an observational approach to the changes that occur in society and the impact of these changes on individuals. In this regard, the work is a story that is worth examining from the point of view of literary sociology. Because in the work, it is addressed the problems that alcohol, which is a social wound, causes in society and in the individual. In it, with the original subject and style of the 1960s, Mevlüt Suleimanli tried to reflect the moral collapse that occurred in the Azerbaijani people under the sovereignty of the Soviet Union. In this study, the story called "Değirmen" will be studied in the framework of literary sociology. Abstract With the story called Değirmen written by Mevlüt Suleymanlı, who is one of the most important writers and took place in 1960 pro writers of Azerbaijan Literature, and the lifestyle of Azerbaijan people are evaluated with a new perspective. In this work, while characters are examined in an observing way, the changes that occur in the society and the effects of these changes on people have been considered. From that point of view, the work is a worthwhile story to be examined in sociology of literature. For, in this work, the problems of alcohol which is a social damage and its effects on people are dealt. Mevlüt Suleymanli, who is under the influence of the Soviet Union Dominance, tries to reflect the moral collapse of Azerbaijan society with the story that consists of 1960 Prose's genuine plot and style.
