Abstract:

One of the important issues faced in the supply chains managed by the traditional understanding is the shell effect that generally arises as a result of the disturbance of the information flow in the chain and the volatility of demand. The shell effect that occurs in the production and service enterprises creates a huge fluctuation and chaos effect in the chain. The delays and volatilities in the supply process in the health sector, which is a service sector, will affect the patient’s health and create unlikely results for the return. Therefore, supply chain management in the health sector is a matter that needs to be focused on. The most recent example of the shell effect is the Covid-19 pandemic, which has affected all countries in the world in recent period. In this process, countries have implemented preventive measures in almost every sector to minimize the effects of the virus. With these arrangements made, many difficulties occurred in the supply chain process and even the process became impossible to work. It is important to create a supply chain structure that works well in the health sector in natural disasters such as malignant and pandemic. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effects by making a literary scan of the impact of the pandemic process we have in the recent period in the health supply chain.
