Abstract:

In these periods where you are constantly thinking about how the digital transformation and the future ages will be, the place of physical power in the ancient ages has now been left to information with technological advances. In ancient times, the rape made on the basis of the physical power imbalance was more likely to have become more emotional relationships in the knowledge age. Recently, the issue of digital harassment, which is a type of communication that comes into our lives with the digitalization created by the internet and technological developments, and which affects public health negatively, has been addressed in this study. Today, the methods of social communication made by electronic means are constantly changing and changing with technological developments. With this change, individuals with different demographic characteristics can meet in the virtual environment in order to interact, especially online games, through social media applications and behaviors that we call cyber harassment in the internet environment. When evaluating the types of cyber harassment, which are different elements from traditional harassment, and taking into account that these behaviors are displayed in the internet environment, it is estimated that it will be more effective to resolve the recommendations for the prevention of cyber harassment with the communication techniques used in the digital environment rather than just legal sanctions and the training that will be provided by the relevant public institutions and organizations (RTÜK-Information Technologies Institution, etc.) together. The aim of this situation is to recognize it by individuals who face increasingly widespread digital harassment, to learn how to cope with it through communication techniques, to learn about the processes they need to follow for rights losses, to protect digital harassment from negative effects on the social life of individuals and to minimize it, to increase awareness and to create a digital citizenship awareness that knows how to protect it from cyber hostages.
