2000’li yıllarla birlikte gündelik yaşam içerisine her gün biraz daha fazla giren teknolojik gelişmeler, internet kullanımı ve sosyal medya geleneksel iletişim biçimleri başta olmak üzere sosyal ve kültürel birçok yapıyı dönüştürmektedir. Özellikle son yıllarda insanların yaşadığı toplum ağ toplumu olarak adlandırılmaya başlanmıştır. Yirmi yıldan kısa bir süre içerisinde çok hızlı bir biçimde gelişme gösteren ve etkisi dünya genelinde görülen ağ toplumu, insanlar tarafından da aynı hızda kabul görmektedir. İnsanlık tarihinin geneline bakıldığında bu durum aslında şaşırtıcı bir süreçtir, çünkü insanlık tarihindeki köklü toplumsal değişimeler ve kabuller sancılı ve gecikmeli bir biçimde gerçekleşmektedir. Toplumlar, içinde bulundukları yapıların değişimine karşı direnç gösterirler ve bu direnç toplumsal geçiş dönemlerini muğlaklaştırır. Fakat ağ toplumuna geçiş tarihteki diğer toplumsal geçiş dönemleriyle kıyaslanmayacak kadar hızlı bir biçimde hızlı gerçeklemiş ve neredeyse tüm toplumsal tabakalar tarafından coşkuyla kabul edilmiştir. Bu çalışmanın amacı bu denli hızlı kabul gören teknolojik sıçramanın ve sosyal medyanın handikaplarını Black Mirror (Kara Ayna) televizyon filmi üzerinden incelemektir.
Within the 2000s, technological developments that enter a little more into daily life every day, the use of the internet and the traditional forms of social media communications transform many social and cultural structures, primarily. Especially in recent years, the community in which people live has begun to be called a networking society. The networking society, which has developed very rapidly in less than twenty years and its impact is seen worldwide, is accepted by people at the same speed. In terms of human history, this situation is actually a surprising process, because the root social changes and acceptance in human history are carried out in a punishable and delayed manner. Societies are resistant to the change of the structures in which they are, and this resistance blurred the periods of social transition. But the transition to the network society has been rapidly realised, uncomparable with other periods of social transition in history, and has been enthusiastically accepted by almost all layers of society. The aim of this study is to explore the disadvantages of such rapidly accepted technological jump and social media through the Black Mirror (Black Mirror) television film.
Together with the 2000s, technological developments, Internet usage and social media which have entered a little more every day in daily life have transformed many social and cultural structures, especially traditional forms of communication. In recent years, the society in which people live called to be network society. The network society that has developed rapidly in less than twenty years and whose impact is seen worldwide is accepted by people at the same rate. In human history, this situation is a surprising process because the fundamental social changes and acceptances has taken place in a painful and delayed manner. Societies are resistant to the change of the structures in which they exist, and this resistance obscures the social transition periods. However, the transition to the network society has been fast and incomparably faster than the other social transition periods in history and has been accepted enthusiastically by almost all social stratum. The aim of this study is to examine the rapidly accepted technological leaps and the problems of social media through the television film called Black Mirror.
