Çocuğun anadilini ve dili kullanma becerisini geliştirmede yazılı kaynakların önemli bir rolü vardır. İletişim sürecinin en temel öğesi olan dili kullanma becerisi, küçük yaşlardan itibaren nitelikli çocuk kitapları aracılığıyla desteklenebilir. Nitelikli edebi eserlerle, çocukların dil ve anadili kullanımı istenilen düzeyde etkin hale getirilebilir. Erken yaşlardan itibaren çocuğu olumlu kazanımlara ulaştıran, çocuğun dünyasına hitap eden, sanatsal nitelikli görsellerin bulunduğu, estetik bir bakış açısına sahip ve çocuğun gelişimini destekleyen nitelikli eserlerle tanıştırmak, çocuğun güçlü bir karakter kazanmasına ve çok boyutlu olarak gelişimine katkı sağlamakla birlikte anadiline yönelik ipuçlarını yakalamasını ve anadilini sevmesini de sağlar. Değerler eğitimi ahlaki, kültürel, evrensel ve bireysel alanda duyarlılık kazanmaktır. Okurun, evrensel değerlerle eğitilen okur olabilmesi için edebiyatın ve nitelikli yazınsal metinlerin önemi büyüktür. Evrensel değerlerle donatılmış edebi eserlerde yazar, çocukların edinmesini istediği iletiler ve örnek davranışlar için, çocukların da düşünmesine ve duyarlılıklarının geliştirilmesine ihtiyaç duyar. Çocukların bu gelişimi gerçek hayatta edinebilmeleri için, yazarlar çocukları metnin anlamına götürecek uygun iletilerle eserlerini oluştururlar. Yazar-çizer ve çocuk etkileşiminin kalitesini ortaya çıkaran ve kitabın bir edebiyat ürünü olmasını sağlayan en önemli etkenlerden birisi çocuklara günlük hayatlarında da insan ilişkilerine yardımcı olacak evrensel iletileri kazandıran yazınsal nitelikli ipuçlarını sunma başarısıdır. Çocukların gelişim evrenine uygun yazınsal kurgu içinde sunulan iletiler, çocuğun günlük hayatında mutlu olmasına ve kitapları sevmesine yardımcı olur. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türk çocuk edebiyatının öncü isimlerinden olan Yalvaç Ural’ın çocuk edebiyatında şiir, öykü, şiir-öykü ve fabl türündeki eserlerinde hayvan sevgisi evrensel değerini incelemektir. Ayrıca çalışmada, yazarın hayvan sevgisi evrensel değerini eserlerinde nasıl ele aldığına ilişkin örneklere de yer verilmiştir.
The written resources have a big impact to improve childeren's native language ability. The children’s ability to use the language will be built up with qualified children’s books. With the help of qualified literary materials, children’s use of native language will be improved. Introducing children with qualified books in the early ages contributes to the children to gain a strong character and to develop in a multidimensional manner. It also allows the children to catch clues to their native language and love the language. From this point of view, it can be said that the literary books aimed at children should address the interests and needs of the children and enable them to realize themselves. Values education means to gain sensitivity in parts of moral, cultural, universal and personal. Books that meet with children as well as the lessons have an important role in the values education in schools. Because books are one of the main sources for the acquisition of the values. Values can be gained to children with books. Literature and qualified literary texts are of great importance in order for the reader to be educated with universal values. Universal values can be adopted to the children with these books. While presenting these novels to the children the reality of the child should also be considered. Yalvaç Ural is one of the important Turkish writers of children and adult modern literature. Although there are many values that Yalvaç Ural mentioned and felt in his books for the children, the most important value is the value of love. Ural, who wants to feel the importance of love for children, emphasized the importance and necessity of love in his books and reflected the importance of love in the life in all of his books.The aim of this study is to examine the universal value of animal love in the children's literature of Yalvaç Ural, which is one of the pioneers of Turkish children's literature, in his novels of poetry, short stories, poetry-stories and fables. The study also includes examples of how the author treats the universal value of animal love in his books.
