The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of multimedia software (MS) developed according to ADDIE Instructional Design Model on attitudes of students, who took the course Instructional Principles and Methods (IPM) in the department of Computer Education and Instructional Technologies (CEIT). In addition, students’ attitudes toward IPM course were examined according to graduated school and gender. Second grade 41 students in the department of CEIT in a state university in Turkey were selected as a sample population by using convenient sampling. This research was based on pre-test post-test quasi-experimental design with control group. Experimental and control groups were determined according to grade point averages of students. The experimental group was instructed by MS and the control group was instructed by traditional method. To investigate the attitudes of students towards the IPM course, IPM Attitude Scale was used before and after the experimental process. Finally, while there were not any differences in the attitudes of students in the both groups before experimental process, after experimental process the attitude of the students in experimental group were found to be more positive than the attitudes of students in control group.
