So many results that aren't mine?

Abstract:

Al-hijaamah (blood letting) is a depletion operation of blood to protect our health and treat our diseases by straching any part of our body softly and settling hornes, glasses or ampullas on it. Bloodletting which is implemented for treatment of some diseases and preferred by preventive medicine is a general treatment method preferenced and recommended by Hz. Muhammed himself. Blood letting -used as a treatment method by physicians with different styles since old times- was also used in an enhanced way by muslim pyhsicians with reference to Al-Tibb al-Nabawī (The Medicine of the Prophet). Blood letting was used in a widespread manner in the art of Ottoman medicine and besides took place in medicine manuscripts. The work titled Kitāb-ı Keḥḥāl-Nāme-i Nūrü’l-ʿUyūn is one of these medicine manuscripts and handles protection of health and treatment of diseases as well. Within our study, we will discuss how and for which disease treatments bloodletting was used, which was an important treatment technique in the Ottoman medicine. In the light of these knowledges, it is aimed to contribute to both Turkish Language and Culture and to the history of medicine and science studies.
