Abstract:

Crises defined as unpredictable events cause losses in the tourism sector in terms of the number of tourists and the income of tourism. As in all other sectors, there are different reasons for the crisis in the tourism sector. One of these causes is epidemic disease. The image of the destination where the epidemic occurred in a crisis environment that is caused by the infection is shrinking and the tourists have a confidence problem. This study has studied the impact of epidemic-related health crises on the tourism sector. The study addressed the disease of the feet and mouth, SARS, bird flu, pig flu and Ebola epidemics. The number of tourists has been assessed to determine the impact of the bullshit. The findings have shown that the epidemic has an impact on the number of tourists in the countries. In the first year or the following year the number of tourists arriving in the country has decreased.
