Samples of mortar, plaster, brick, wood, metal and dirt taken from the Stone Room of Turşucuzade Ahmet Muhtar Efendi Mansion were examined in the laboratory in order to determine the ingredients and the decay processes of the building materials that were used.After laboratory studies, the ratio between binder - aggregate and ingredients of the mortar and plaster samples were determined and comparative analyses were conducted.Types and characteristics of stone samples, the variety in dimensions of brick samples and types of wooden and metal samples were studied, results were compared and both similarities and differencies were determined
