and II. The Treaty, signed on 12 July 1947 in the process of development of the Turkish-American relations after the World War, has a major place. The "Truman Doctrine", referred to by the name of the U.S. President of the time, Truman, a broad security block covering Turkey and Greece, and the "Marshall Plan", prepared under the Truman Doctrine, formed the economic aspect of this doctrine. The Treaty of July 12, 1947 established the military ground for this process. The treaty has also determined the direction of the foreign policy that Turkey will follow in the post-war process, if it needs to further strengthen Turkey's place in the policy that the US has developed against the Soviet Union. The new foreign policy will also be directed to the domestic policy in the short term and the Turkish political life will be designed according to the new foreign policy preferences. An example of this situation is the President Inönü’s attempt to end the tension between the “July 12 Declaration” and the CHP and the DP. With the temporary end of the political crisis, the consolidation process of political life, which is defined as "multi-party" but which can primarily be defined as "two-party" has begun. The consolidation process has forced the CHP to follow policies that meet the political needs of the period and has led to its fundamental principles to be transformed. This will lead to a temporary similarity between the CHP and the DP.
