The purpose of this study is to investigate effect of nature camp-assisted environmental education on students’ awareness and attitude towards environmental problems. In this study, quasi-experimental design which was pre-test/post-test control group was implemented. The working group of study consisted of 7th grade students from two separate classes at a private secondary school with high socio-economic level in Ankara in the spring semester of 2014-2015 academic year. Nature camp-assisted excursion-observation teaching method was used in the experimental group and traditional teaching method was used in the control group. Awareness scale towards environmental problems which is developed by Güven ve Aydoğdu (2012) and attitude scale towards environmental problems which is developed by Güven (2013) were used as the data collection tools. As a result of the study, it was found that there was a significant difference in favor of the experiment group among the point averages of both the awareness scale and attitude scale posttest of the groups.
