Kadınlara Uygulanan 8 Haftalık Reformer Pilates Egzersizlerinin Vücut Kompozisyonuna ve Bazı Fiziksel Uygunluk Parametrelerine Etkisi

Bu çalışmanın amacı, sedanter kadınlara uygulanan 8 haftalık reformer pilates egzersizlerinin vücut kompozisyonu ve bazı fiziksel uygunluk parametrelerine etkisinin incelenmesidir. Çalışmaya dokuz sağlıklı sedanter kadın (yaş= 29±7,12) gönüllü olarak katılmıştır. Katılımcıların vücut yağ yüzdesi, çevre ölçümleri, sırt ve bacak kuvveti, esneklik ve denge performansları çalışma başlamadan önce ve 8 haftalık antrenmanlar sonrasında olmak üzere iki kez ölçülmüştür. Reformer pilates egzersizlerinin ön test-son test sonuçları arasındaki farkı belirlemede nonparametrik testlerden Wilcoxon testi kullanılmıştır. Yapılan istatistiksel analiz sonuçlarına göre 8 haftalık reformer pilates egzersizlerinin vücut yağ yüzdesini, çevre ölçümlerini (bacak, basen, bel ve göğüs bölgeleri) ve fiziksel uygunluk parametrelerini (esneklik, denge, kuvvet, vücut yağ yüzdesi) istatiksel olarak anlamlı şekilde geliştirdiği belirlenmiştir. Sonuç olarak reformer pilates egzersizlerinin, fiziksel uygunluk düzeyini geliştirme ve korumada bir alternatif yöntem olarak kullanılabileceği söylenebilir.

Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study the effect of 8 week-long reformer pilates exercises applied to sedanter women on the body composition and some physical fitness parameters. The study included nine healthy sedanter women (age = 29±7,12) voluntarily. The participants’ body fat percentage, environmental measurements, back and leg strength, flexibility and balance performance were measured twice before the start of the study and after 8 weeks of training. The differences between the pre-test and final test results of the Reformer Pilates exercises were used by the Wilcoxon test from nonparametric tests. According to the statistical analysis results, 8 weeks of reformer pilates exercises have statically significantly improved body fat percentage, environmental measurements (foot, basin, back and chest areas) and physical fitness parameters (flexity, balance, strength, body fat percentage). As a result, it can be said that the reformer pilates exercises can be used as an alternative method in improving and preserving the level of physical fitness.
