Lise Öğrencilerinin Düşünme Stilleri ve Biyoetik Değerlerinin Farklı Değişkenler Açısından İncelenmesi

Abstract:

Araştırmanın amacı, lise öğrencilerinin biyoetik değerleri ile düşünme stilleri puanlarının çeşitli değişkenler (cinsiyet, okul türü, sınıf düzeyi, kardeş sayısı) açısından incelenmesi ve biyoetik değerlerinin düşünme stillerine göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığının ortaya konmasıdır. Çalışmada ilişkisel tarama yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Çalışma grubu amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden maksimum çeşitlilik örnekleme yöntemiyle beş farklı liseden seçilmiş olan 369 lise öğrencisinden oluşturmaktadır. Verileri toplamak amacıyla Biyoetik Değer Envanteri (BDE) ile Sternberg-Wagner Düşünme Stilleri Ölçeği (SWDSÖ) kullanılmıştır. Veriler, SPSS 22 paket programı kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Elde edilen bulgular, biyoetik değerlerin kardeş sayısına göre farklılaştığını, düşünme stilleri puanlarının ise cinsiyet, okul türü, sınıf düzeyi ve kardeş sayısı açısından farklılaştığını ortaya koymuştur. Ayrıca biyoetik değerlerin biçimsel, düzeysel ve kapsamsal düşünme stilleri açısından farklılaştığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Bu bağlamda, öğrencilere doğru biyoetik değerlerin kazandırılması noktasında, öğrencilerin düşünme stillerinin göz önünde bulundurulması önerilmiştir.

Abstract:

The research aims to examine the bioethical values and thinking styles scores of high school students in terms of various variables (gender, school type, class level, number of siblings) and to reveal whether their bioethical values differ according to their thinking styles. The relational screening method was used in the study. The study group consists of 369 high school students selected from five different high schools with a maximum diversity sampling method. To collect data, the Bioethical Inventory (BI) and the Sternberg-Wagner Thinking Styles Scale (SWTSS) were used. The data were analyzed using SPSS 22 package program. The findings revealed that bioethical values differ in response to the number of siblings, and that the thinking styles scores differ in terms of gender, school type, class level, and the number of siblings. Also, it has been revealed that bioethical values differ in terms of formal, level and contextual thinking styles. In this context, it was recommended that the thinking styles of the students be taken into account to enable students to gain correct bioethical values.
