Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to show out the problems of foreign citizens studying at a state college located in the Northern Cyprus Turkish Republic, teachers and school managers in the eyes of their problems in the school environment, and to develop solutions suggestions. The guiding teachers and school administrators are seen as the greatest responsible in the adaptation process of immigrant foreign students. Therefore, it is believed that guided teachers and director assistants will contribute to both individuals and school functioning in relation to the problems identified by the information that foreign students will provide about the problems they experience. The research work group is 3 guided teachers and 6 assistant directors who work at a state college in the KKTC in the 2017-2018 educational-educational year. The research is designed as a state study of the quality research methods. In the study, the data was collected through a semi-configured interview form consisting of open end questions developed by the researchers. It has been used by visual and content analysis to carry out data analysis. The study found that guided teachers and assistants of the director observed some problems with foreign students during the training and teaching process. In the beginning of these problems, it appears that language, cultural differences, non-interest/disconnection from teaching and adaptation problems come.
