Abstract:

The aim of this study is to study Agriculture 4.0 technologies and to reveal the applicability of these technologies in Turkey. The study’s primary data is the survey data obtained from three companies that are conducting Agriculture 4.0 work in Turkey. In addition, this field has been used by previous studies, and these studies have been evaluated along with the survey data and SWOT analysis has revealed the applicability of Agriculture 4.0 in Turkey. According to the findings, agriculture is fourth. As for the applicability of 0 in Turkey; the existence of organizations that offer smart agricultural technologies in Turkey and the positive results from the work of these organizations, the factors such as that farmers begin to have knowledge and awareness about smart agriculture as strong aspects; the lack of information technology readiness, the high average age of producer, the lack of infrastructure studies and policies, and the factors such as external dependency are interpreted as weak aspects. Agriculture 4.0 technologies must be implemented in Turkey in order to monitor the present world and modern practices. It will be possible to break the prejudices regarding the use of these modern applications by cooperating and encouraging the common use of machines. Not only is the monitoring of modern applications needed, but also skilled, effective and trained farmers, grape engineers and technicians who can use and spread these applications.
